I like to stay on the cutting edge of what’s going on in social media so that I can pass on the most relevant information to my followers. I find that many business owners don’t have the time to scour the internet for the latest information, so I thought I would share with you some of my top favorite social media blogs.

While there are many great blogs out there, these are some of my “go-to” favorites. They publish the most topical information and many of these blogs have direct contacts with some of the social media platforms.

Social Media Examiner

Don’t let the cartoon header fool you. This is one of the largest social media blogs on the internet. They have multiple high-profile guest bloggers that are the cream of the crop in social media, so you always get many different perspectives.

I search Social Media Examiner all the time when I need up to date information about something that I’ve heard so that I can learn more about it.

Buffer Social

BufferApp is a scheduling tool that you can use to find and schedule content on your social media. This blog is simplistic, but always has great information. Multiple authors give you a different perspective on a variety of social media subjects.

Rignite Blog

Rignite is another scheduling software. I’ve used Rignite for a couple of years and really liked it. The thing I like about this blog is that is really is geared towards small business. They have information available for bricks n’ mortar businesses like restaurants and retail, as well as online businesses.

Jon Loomer Digital

This one is a little more technical. I love Jon Loomer, but his stuff may not be for beginners. Even his tagline says “For Advanced Facebook Marketers”. One of the things I like about Jon’s stuff is that he does a lot of case studies and testing. He shares some of that with his audience. If you want to learn more about Facebook ads, Jon goes into great detail dissecting campaigns.

Razor Social

Ian Cleary is the founder of Razor Social. I love the layout of this blog with it’s “Pinterest” style. It’s easy to see at a glance what you want to read. Ian’s focus is tools and technology. He has some awesome tools listed on his site.

Marie Forleo

OK, so she’s not strictly social media, but this is one extra blog that I had to throw in there because I love her so much! Marie teaches how to build a business and a life that you love. Her course is called B-School and it’s one of the most popular internet marketing courses out there. She only runs it once a year, and it’s always very well attended.

Her videos are awesome! Funny, heartwarming and so on-point! She really talks about some stuff that no one else has the guts to address.
